Brittany Martínez-Hewitt (they/them)

Britt is a queer artist, imaginatrix and community organizer born and raised in Miami & living on Tongva land in Los Angeles. Britt focuses on decolonizing facilitation, healing justice, collective art making, storytelling circles, pleasure activism and land rematriation. They facilitate and curate joy spaces. Britt’s current projects include concerts in nature series Feels Like Floating, mutual aid hub Aurora Loving Kindness Project, Bueno Para Todos cooperative farm in New Mexico, care workers collective Spring Up, Discoteca 3ala Mars on dublab radio and individual therapy at Gender Health Center. Britt believes that embodied art practices guide people towards unlocking their own power, fueling collective dreaming, and pushing us towards freedom.



“I think social justice is both a vision and a hope for the future, and then also a space that we can tap into with the things that are within our control, like in the way we spend our time and energy and move our body and whatnot. And I think it means having control over my own DreamSpace, and having all of my needs met, and then having so much, like, capacity for, like, rest that I can really tap into my imagination and just create things, and be in reciprocity with the earth and, like, with all my relationships around me.”
