Gabrielle Geller (she/her)

Gabrielle Geller works as a Program Coordinator at Transformative Change (https://transformativechange.org), an organization that brings the practice of presence to community-based visioning, strategizing and organizing for cohesive and sustainable social transformation. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Geography with a concentration in environmental science and Spanish, Gabrielle has always been fascinated with the relationship between people and their environments. She is passionate about the local food economy and systems while ensuring equity and access to resources. Her previous work experience includes advocacy for survivors of DV/SA and working with the most vulnerable populations. In her free time, Gabrielle loves to grow food, spend time in nature, and practice movement including aerial silks, handstands, dance, and acrobatics.

“I see social justice as the empowerment of communities for the ability to thrive. And not just survive….[the] overall, holistic wellbeing of each individual. I see it as the ability to feel empowered in, in our bodies, to feel whole, to feel well. Um, to feel loved…I think part of the work of justice is having people understand their bodies, and feel connected to their bodies. And understanding how our bodies relate to other bodies.”
