Rachel L. Rogers (she/her)

Roanoke, VA

Rachel is working on her doctorate in health sciences with an emphasis on rural health and health equity. She is passionate about teaching yoga, adapting the pose to fit the body, not the other way around. Rachel has taught over 2,900 hours of yoga around Virginia and online. She has completed 500-hour training, plus additional training in trauma-informed yoga, yoga nidra, chair yoga, restorative yoga, applied polyvagal theory, and somatic yoga. She is a Certified Accessible Yoga Teacher and a Certified Forest Therapy Guide. Rachel’s dream is to make yoga accessible to all while linking physical and mental health in collaboration with nature. When she’s not practicing or teaching yoga, you can find her studying, gardening, or exploring nature with her dog.

“Social justice means speaking up, like, when you do feel something…instead of holding back.”
